Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neuro Medicine ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU acute care experience License: RN License (New York) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills - Telemetry experience Description: The Neuro Medicine ICU focuses on critically ill neuro patients. Patients typically have diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies. This is a brand new state-of-the-art, 12-bed ICU. Nursing and medical care in this unit require a high degree of specialization. Candidates must possess strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills. They must also demonstrate the ability to remain current in knowledge of critical care. Telemetry experience is required. Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS is mandatory.
