Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week; Day/Night rotation changing approximately every 4 weeks based on unit needs; Every other weekend required (weekend nights defined as Friday and Saturday nights for night shift; Saturday and Sunday for day shift); 2:1 patient ratios
Highlights:
Specialized neuro critical care unit treating patients with strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, neuromuscular diseases, meningitis, and post-operative neurosurgery cases
Advanced bedside procedures including tracheostomy, PEG tube placement, central and arterial line insertion, and EVD placement
Epic EMR system utilized; prior Epic experience required
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and lift teams
Rotation schedule between day and night shifts approximately every 4 weeks to provide work-life balance
Two pre-approved time off periods available during assignment
Requirements:
Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association certifications only)
Required skills: IV start and maintenance, telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management, ventilator management, intracranial pressure monitoring, arterial line management, central line care, external ventricular drains, continuous IV sedation, vasoactive drip titration
Epic charting system experience required
Trauma Level I experience preferred
Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership role)
Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
