Job Title: Neuro Critical Care Unit RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro Critical Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating 7A/7P Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred, Critical Care Certification preferred Must-Have: Must have experience in Neuro Critical Care. Experience with EPIC is required. Description: The Neuro Critical Care Unit cares for patients suffering from severe brain injuries, strokes, or brain tumors. Many patients are post-operative from neurosurgical procedures. Providers specialize in post-operative neurosurgical care for neurologically complex patients. These patients may have strokes, brain tumors, and nerve and muscle diseases. Care providers must be adept at interfacing between the brain and other vital organ systems. Weekend shifts required for 3 out of 6 weekends. Call duty involves 2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule. Floating to areas of like skill sets may be necessary.
