Many patients are post-operative from neurosurgical procedures. Providers in the unit have expertise in post-operative neurosurgical care to complex patients. The patient population requires care providers who can interface effectively with both brain functions and other vital organ systems. Care may involve supporting patients with stroke, brain tumors, and various nerve and muscle diseases. The role includes working weekends and participating in on-call rotations as needed. Floating to areas with similar skill sets may be required. The position demands a thorough understanding of both critical care principles and neurological conditions.
