Job Title: Neuro Critical Care RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 7A/7P Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Must have 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred, Critical Care Certification preferred, trauma course preferred Must-Have: EPIC experience Description: The Neuro Critical Care Unit provides specialized care for patients with severe brain injuries, strokes, or brain tumors. Many patients are post-operative from neurosurgical procedures. The care providers are specialized in post-operative care for neurologically complex patients. These patients may have issues related to stroke, brain tumors, and nerve and muscle diseases. The care required involves interfacing between the brain and other vital organ systems. The role requires 36 hours of work with weekends scheduled as three of six. On-call responsibilities are required two times within a six-week schedule. Floating to areas with similar skill sets may be necessary. Holidays may be worked as needed.
