Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will work with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2 and must pass an ECG exam on the second day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with various diagnoses, including stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, brain tumors, and other neurological conditions.
• Manage acute respiratory failure, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, asthma exacerbation, acute heart failure, pulmonary edema, acute kidney injury, diabetic ketoacidosis, and gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Administer and titrate intravenous medications and drips, including norepinephrine, epinephrine, vasopressin, phenylephrine, and dopamine.
• Utilize respiratory therapy equipment, including mechanical ventilators and noninvasive ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips for patient monitoring.
• Collaborate with clinical techs for support in patient care activities.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.

Work Environment

The unit comprises 16 beds with comprehensive support staff available. Registered Nurses are expected to take an active role in patient care, including monitoring vital signs and responding to patient needs.

Shift Details

Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM, requiring commitment to provide care during evenings and overnight hours. Nurses are expected to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year.

Dress Code

Scrubs must be navy blue for all nursing staff.
