ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in a critical care setting, specifically focusing on the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Day/Night shifts available: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30 or 19:00 - 07:30)
• Every other weekend and some holiday work required
• 4x12 hour shifts or a Friday to Sunday block schedule may be considered

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within the ICU and IMC populations
• Monitor and assess patient progress, implementing appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using the Epic system

Qualifications

• Valid RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory, obtained through AHA only
• ICU experience is required; Neurosurgery experience is preferred
• Proficiency in using the Epic electronic health record system is necessary
• The candidate must be able to pass a Telemetry test before starting
