Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in Neuro ICU preferred. - Ability to read and interpret EKG strips. - Familiarity with ventilators and critical care protocols. Description: The position requires delivering care to patients with neurological conditions. Typical patients include those with strokes, intracerebral hemorrhages, and neuro surgical needs. The unit consists of 20 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1 to 2. Emergency Medical Record system is Cerner. A charge nurse is available but typically does not take patients. Safety attendants are present to support nursing staff. Nights start at 6:45 PM. Self-scheduling is utilized, but finalized by management. Schedules are published four weeks in advance. Floating to sister facilities may be required occasionally. The environment supports a strong stroke program and is equipped with state-of-the-art resources. The cancellation policy allows for up to four shifts to be canceled within the assignment duration. Candidates must possess the required certifications and a valid nursing license.
