Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years in specialty License: Current state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Current state license - Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Description: Seeking a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment. The shift is 12 hours overnight. The nurse will care for a varied patient population including cardiac, pulmonary, neuro, renal, sepsis, and trauma cases. This is a Level II trauma facility. Experience with vents, trachs, central lines, and titrating drips is required. Familiarity with hospital-acquired infection bundles is essential. Patients may include those with head injuries, cerebral bleeds, and multi-system failure. The nurse will float as needed under the same scope of skill. There is a nurse-patient ratio of 1:2. The unit operates with a strong multidisciplinary team for family support. Trauma rounds are conducted weekly, and eICU remote monitoring is available for critical care patients. Professional appearance is required, including scrubs of any color, closed-toe shoes, and minimal jewelry. Hair must be professionally styled, and nail polish must be in good condition. Must be available for two major winter holidays and two summer holidays during the assignment. Previous travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
