Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU - $2,639 per week in Castro Valley, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Neuro ICU License: Current CA RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience - Able to float to Emergency Department, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department Description: Locals accepted with a 50-mile travel requirement. All candidates must have a valid CA RN license and certifications in hand to be submitted. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:2. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Charge experience is preferred. Candidates must have experience in a fast-paced ICU environment. The unit handles neuro and stroke patients post thrombectomy and TNK, along with post-procedural surgical trauma patients. Candidates should have experience managing ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation. Familiarity with ICP monitoring, EVD management, and blood product administration is required. Skills in arterial line management, phlebotomy, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction are necessary. Teamwork and interdisciplinary support are essential in this environment. Special equipment utilized includes EVDs, ICP monitors, and massive blood transfusion protocols. This position requires the capacity to adapt to a rapidly changing clinical environment.
