Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM (night), every other weekend, rotating holidays, self-scheduling with schedule posted 4 weeks out

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $78 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality critical nursing care to Neuro ICU patients, including post-op craniotomy and neuro interventional cases
  • Manage ventilators and complex hemodynamic needs with close collaboration with RT and intensivists
  • Perform accurate telemetry and EKG strip interpretation for acute neurological events
  • Serve as charge nurse when assigned, coordinating patient flow and providing break coverage
  • Work with the stroke team to implement rapid assessment and evidence-based stroke care
  • Document patient care in Cerner and communicate concise bedside reports at shift change
  • Support unit safety by using nurse aides and sitters effectively for patient monitoring
