Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical nursing care to Neuro ICU patients, including post-op craniotomy and neuro interventional cases
- Manage ventilators and complex hemodynamic needs with close collaboration with RT and intensivists
- Perform accurate telemetry and EKG strip interpretation for acute neurological events
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned, coordinating patient flow and providing break coverage
- Work with the stroke team to implement rapid assessment and evidence-based stroke care
- Document patient care in Cerner and communicate concise bedside reports at shift change
- Support unit safety by using nurse aides and sitters effectively for patient monitoring
