Contract | 12-Hour Day/Night Rotating Shift | Every Other Weekend Required | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro Intermediate Care Unit setting, with the potential to float to the Neuro ICU floor
• Manage and monitor patients with arterial lines, external ventricular drains (EVDs), and lumbar drains
• Care for post-operative day-zero neuroscience cases, acute thrombectomy patients, and patients receiving TPA administration
• Administer and monitor vasoactive infusions as required by patient condition
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3 within an 18-bed intermediate care unit and 18-bed general neuroscience unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 or more years of relevant clinical experience
• Hands-on experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and arterial lines
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Basic proficiency navigating web-based applications; experience with Epic EMR preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Neuro ICU or Neuro Intermediate Care setting
• Familiarity with acute neuroscience patient populations including thrombectomy and TPA cases
• Experience with vasoactive infusion management
