Key Responsibilities- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and comprehensive nursing care.
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders.
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary.
- Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Interacts with patients and families to communicate care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions; delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures; strong verbal, written, and basic computer skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
- Experience in a Neuro ICU or similar critical care setting.
