Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) with variable day/night availability (19:00–7:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro ICU setting within a teaching hospital environment
• Monitor and assess critically ill neurological patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols, compliance requirements, and facility policies
• Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Local candidates are accepted and are subject to the same requirements as travel candidates
• All prior employment with any University of California medical facility or affiliated/acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names at time of submittal for rehire eligibility review
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
• All RTO must be disclosed at time of submittal; no additional RTO requests will be accepted mid-contract, and RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Prior Neuro ICU experience
• Prior Trauma ICU experience
