Travel Nurse RN - Neuro PCU - $2,237 per week in Seattle, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Neuro Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of neuro experience required. License: Active nursing license preferred. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience in telemetry and care for tracheostomies. Strong neuro experience is required. Description: Travelers must have one of three major holidays off and work two holidays (eve/day). Telemetry experience is required. There will be a test for proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management. Pre/post-operative neurosurgery experience is preferred. Patient population includes neurosurgery, neurology, and epilepsy patients. Common diagnoses are traumatic brain injury, craniotomy, craniectomy, aneurysm clipping and coiling, spinal cord injury, strokes, seizure, epilepsy, and change in mental status. The daily census consists of approximately 44-45 patients. Patient ratios are 1:5 at night. Interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and willing to float within the hospital as needed. Strong neuro skills are essential, and first-time travelers will be considered if they have significant neuro experience. Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
