Job Summary: Medical Surgical Neurology Floor Registered Nurse position in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing patient care on a neurology-focused medical surgical unit, with a schedule of 12-hour night shifts. The position requires willingness to float to the West Campus and work every other weekend and holiday.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), valid nursing license in the state of Iowa, minimum of 1 year of hospital experience in neuro or medical surgical units, willingness to float to West Campus
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in neurology or neuroscience units, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
Additional Information: The role involves working on a dedicated neurology medical surgical floor, with responsibilities including patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring neurological status, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility to float and work during weekends and holidays is required.
