Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Austin, Texas. This contract role involves providing specialized care in a Level 3 NICU environment. The selected candidate will deliver compassionate and expert nursing services to neonatal patients, adhering to hospital protocols and standards.

Job Details:

  • Location: Austin, Texas
  • Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Target Start Date: 08/17/2026
  • Position Type: Contract 13-week assignment
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license to practice in Texas, minimum of 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience, BLS certification, no minimum experience requirement explicitly listed, and the ability to work days.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with staff familiar with unit procedures, friendly and outgoing personality, compassionate nature, and prior experience with new equipment or technology is a plus.
  • Additional Information: The NICU has 97 beds, with a large staff of approximately 200 personnel. The unit is equipped with medfusion pumps, Alaris, giraffe isolette, and GE monitors. The team consists primarily of RNs and includes a clerk. The unit emphasizes a strict dress code of navy scrubs, no artificial nails or nail polish, and personnel should be friendly and compassionate.
