Job Details

  • Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); valid licensure in the state of New Mexico; minimum of 1-year pediatric or neonatal intensive care experience; valid certification and licensure are required for compliance.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk neonatal care, experience in Level III NICU settings, familiarity with Epic charting system, previous travel experience preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • The position involves managing patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:4 for neonates.
    • Clinical procedures include arterial line management, administering blood products, respiratory support such as bubble CPAP, ventilator management, thermoregulation, and nutrition support including tube placements and breastfeeding assistance.
    • Equipment used includes electronic fetal monitoring, incubators, ventilators, and phototherapy units.
    • The unit provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory, pharmacy, interpretation services, and social services.
    • The role emphasizes patient and family teaching, neonatal assessments, and responding to emergent situations such as sepsis, NEC, and neonatal abstinence syndrome.
