• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule Options: 4x12 nights with no call, or 3x12 nights with call coverage
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, based on unit needs
• Float Requirement: May float to other qualified NICU units or facilities as needed
• Documentation System: Epic

NICU Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience, with NICU II and NICU III experience required
• At least 1 year of Epic experience required
• Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not being considered
• Experience caring for critically ill neonates, including complex and surgical diagnoses
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend coverage
• Flu vaccine required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality neonatal nursing care to babies born at 22 weeks gestation and beyond
• Monitor and manage infants with complex conditions such as HIE, RDS, sepsis, withdrawal, congenital anomalies, and respiratory distress
• Perform and support specialized neonatal procedures, including full body cooling, chest tube care, tracheostomy management, and postoperative care
• Assist with respiratory support and therapies such as ventilator management, CPAP, HFNC, phototherapy, and gavage feedings
• Administer medications, blood products, and neonatal treatments according to unit protocols
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support families with education, updates, and compassionate bedside care in a fast-paced NICU setting
• Adapt to unit needs by floating to other qualified areas when required
