Job Summary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN in the specified location. This role involves providing specialized care for neonates in a busy NICU setting, including attending high-risk deliveries, managing complex clinical procedures, and supporting neonatal stabilization and treatment. The position requires excellent clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications; at least 2 years of NICU experience, including high-risk deliveries and neonatal stabilization; knowledge of NICU clinical procedures such as ventilator management, line care, and medication administration.
Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries, managing infants from 24 to 34 weeks gestation, performing invasive procedures, and providing family-centered care.
Additional responsibilities involve monitoring neonates, supporting development and thermoregulation, and assisting with respiratory support, blood glucose monitoring, and medication administration.
Schedule involves night shifts with on-call duty, including four weekend shifts per 6-week cycle and two Sunday night shifts.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Submission requirements include complying with hospital policies, completing EPIC training modules on time, and ensuring all documentation is submitted two Fridays prior to the start date.
