Job Summary: The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position is based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized care in a fast-paced Level IV NICU for infants from 23 weeks gestation and beyond. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing varying levels of acuity within a teaching hospital environment.
Job Details:
Location: 1 Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: BLS certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), at least 2 years of NICU experience, valid license, and relevant certifications
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with baby vent management, central line management, pre/post-surgical care, tracheostomy and G-tube management, breastfeeding and bottle feeding skills, blood transfusions, and infant venous sticks
Shift Details: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, rotating weekends at a minimum, working 75% of holidays, with resource team approval for scheduling
Department Equipment and Support: Utilizes electronic medical records via EPIC, with team support including nursing assistants and charge nurses
Orientation: Departmental and unit-specific orientation provided over 2 days
Additional Job Notes: Scrub color required: Royal Blue. Free parking is available.
