Requirements:
2+ years NICU experience required
Level III NICU experience preferred; facility is a Level IV NICU
First-time travelers accepted
Epic experience required
BLS and Advanced NRP required
Patient ratio: 1:2–4
Strong neonatal experience with premature infants, respiratory distress, sepsis, HIE, and neonatal surgical cases
Experience with UAC/UVC, arterial lines, central lines, blood products, IV medications, vasopressors, surfactants, and neonatal dosage calculations
Respiratory experience with bubble CPAP, HFNC, high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, oscillators, chest tubes, and neonatal ventilator management
Description:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonates, including infants <24–28 weeks, 29–34 weeks, and >34 weeks.
Manage patients with prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, HIE, and surgical conditions.
Provide respiratory support using CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, high-frequency ventilation, oscillators, nitric oxide, and conventional ventilators.
Perform UAC/UVC management, central line care, arterial line management, blood glucose monitoring, phototherapy, feeding/gavage care, and medication administration.
Care for neonatal surgical patients, including NEC, gastroschisis/omphalocele, and post-abdominal surgery.
Provide developmental care, thermoregulation, APGAR scoring, breastfeeding support, family education, and neonatal sepsis management.
Float may be required to Pediatrics, PICU, and Pediatric ED.
