NIGHT-SHIFT NEONATAL ICU (NICU) RN CONTRACT – LEVEL II & SPECIAL CARE NURSERY
An immediate 13-week travel contract opening is available for an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Chandler, Arizona (Greater Phoenix / East Valley area). Operating within a specialized 30-bed perinatal service line (12 private-room Level II NICU beds and 18 Special Care Nursery pod beds), this position features a stable 3x12 overnight schedule (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). NO FLOATING OUTSIDE THE NICU! NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! The unit cares for infants 28 weeks gestation and above presenting with complex respiratory, metabolic, and neonatal complications. Location Details: Assignment is located in Chandler, AZ 85224 (Dept: NICU / Special Care Nursery). ⏱️ Assignment Timeline: 13-week contract running from October 12, 2026, through January 11, 2027 (Job ID: 1155093). Local Radius & Affiliation Rule: Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not accepted. Candidate cannot have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN with the health system or its affiliated entities within the past 12 months. Floating Protection: Travelers are strictly protected from floating outside of neonatal units (float limited to internal SCN/NICU pods or local sister facility NICU 7 miles away). Submittal Rules & Compliance: Active AZ or Compact RN license, AHA BLS, and NRP must be verified and uploaded with the initial packet. Verified Level II or Level III NICU experience within the past 6 months must be clearly detailed on the resume. Candidate must acknowledge the Day 1 Pass/Fail Simulation Lab requirement. Facility Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract. All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be presented upfront with the submittal packet.
