Job Summary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to neonates, including high-risk deliveries, ventilator management, and handling infants from 29 to 34 weeks gestation. The position requires a commitment to a night shift schedule and an active license in the state.
Job Details
Schedule: Night shift. 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, Neonatal & Infant care skills including High Flow, CPAP, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), and UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), Certifications in BLS, NRP, and STABLE, and at least 1 year of recent NICU experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Charge Nurse responsibilities, charting system experience with Epic, previous community hospital or Level II NICU experience, and neonate management skills for infants greater than 29 weeks gestation.
Additional Information: This role includes interdisciplinary support from departments such as Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Social Services. The unit handles approximately four neonates daily and requires managing specialized procedures like CPAP and UAC/UVC lines. Candidates should be flexible to float between nearby sister facilities if needed.
