Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (NICU RN) – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:00 | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
    • Schedule Format: 6-week schedule managed by leadership; travelers must remain flexible to fill scheduling gaps. All RTO must be requested prior to start.
    • Weekend & Holiday Protocol: 6 to 9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule block. May be required to participate in holiday rotation.
    • On-Call Protocol: Rare; utilized primarily during low census.
    • Floating Protocol: Required to float to St. Anthony North Hospital (approx. 26 miles away) in cases of low census or operational need. May also care for stable post-partum mothers/couplets on-site (training provided if lacking post-partum experience).
    • Attire & Orientation: Facility-provided blue hospital scrubs. 12 orientation hours (1 to 3 preceptor-led shifts).
    • Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years of clinical Level II or higher NICU RN experience required [HARDSTOP]. (Prior travel RN experience strongly preferred).
  • Clinical Skill Set & High-Risk Delivery Scope [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical competence in attending high-risk vaginal and C-section deliveries (dedicated solely to neonatal resuscitation and stabilization) [HARDSTOP]. Must be expert in managing hypoglycemia, IV antibiotic therapy, mild respiratory distress, phototherapy, NAS/withdrawal infants, and feeding/growth protocols.
  • Radius Restriction [HARDSTOP]: Strict 60-mile radius rule enforced. Candidate driver's license must be uploaded with submittal file to verify distance [HARDSTOP].
  • State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: License required to submit [HARDSTOP]. Active Colorado State RN License or multi-state eNLC Compact RN License.
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — AHA ONLY) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification [HARDSTOP].
  • EMR Proficiency: Direct clinical documentation experience in Epic EMR required.
