Hospital: 152-bed Level II Children's Hospital
NICU Beds: 70
Typical NICU census: ~50
NICU is part of the pediatric hospital attached to the adult hospital.
High-risk Labor & Delivery services.
Private NICU rooms
Level II Nursery overflow for feeders/growers
Schedule
12-hour shifts
Days: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Nights: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Guaranteed: 36 hours/week
Contract: 89 weeks listed
Weekend: Every other weekend
Occasional back-to-back weekends may occur, but rare.
On-call: No
Block scheduling: Possible, but not guaranteed
⚕️ Required Experience
Minimum 2 years Level III–IV NICU experience – REQUIRED
Respiratory support for ventilated patients – REQUIRED
First-time travelers accepted
Travel experience is strongly preferred

Washington State RN license
BLS
NRP

Patient Population
Experience with:
Premature infants as young as 22 weeks gestation
Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS)
High-risk deliveries
High-risk newborns
Feeders/growers
NAS (Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome)
Preferred:
Surgical NICU patients
HIE – Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy
EMR
EPIC
Floating
May float to:
Med-Surg
PICU
Floating applies for certain patient-support situations, including patients under 1 or as Helping Hands, according to the posting.
