Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialization is located in Beverly, Massachusetts. This role involves providing care for premature and newborn infants within a Level 2b NICU setting. The position requires working night shifts with an emphasis on specialized neonatal patient care, including procedures such as oxygen therapy, lab draws, and administering drips. The assignment includes a schedule of 12-hour night shifts and requires a minimum of 36 hours per week.

- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), 2-3 years of clinical experience in a neonatal intensive care setting, proficiency with equipment such as Baxter pumps, Nihon Kohlden monitors, and bubble CPAP, and experience caring for infants from 32 weeks gestation and above.
- Special Conditions: Must be separated from the healthcare organization for 6 or more months to be considered. No local candidates at this time.
- Responsibilities: Providing direct patient care including procedures such as IV placements, oxygen therapy, labs, and drips. The unit includes 12 beds with an average daily census of 7, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3. Will float between neonatal nurseries and mother-baby units as needed.
