Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse position located in North Dakota. This role involves providing advanced nursing care to neonates within a Level III NICU environment. The position requires a committed professional capable of delivering specialized neonatal care, including assisting with procedures such as intubation, spinal taps, and PICC line placements, in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, including every other weekend, with minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active North Dakota and Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and at least 2 years of neonatal nursing experience. Ability and willingness to float to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Pediatric (PEDS) units. Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience, proficiency with equipment such as conventional ventilators, high-frequency ventilators, nitric oxide, MedFusion and Smart pumps, and Spacelab monitors.
  • Additional Information:
    • The unit comprises 40 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 for critical infants and 3:1 for growing and feeding infants.
    • Orientation includes two days with a buddy to familiarize with unit norms and infant assessment, as well as Epic training.
    • Scrubs should be child-friendly with role-specific colored pants.
    • Candidates must be able and willing to work across units and departments within scope.
    • Local travel considerations apply; candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are eligible, with client rate adjustments for those within 60-80 miles.
