Job Summary: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialist in a healthcare facility located in the area. This position involves providing specialized care for neonates, including those born prematurely or with health complications, within a Level II NICU setting. The role emphasizes managing high-risk infants, utilizing advanced equipment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid state license; at least 2 years of experience in neonatal intensive care, including familiarity with high-flow CPAP, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), and neonate handling. Certifications required include BLS, NRP, and STABLE.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system and community hospital settings.
Additional Information: The position requires candidates to have experience attending high-risk deliveries, supporting breastfeeding and handling breast milk, and caring for neonates between 29 to 34 weeks gestation or above. The unit manages approximately four patients daily, with a focus on stabilizing infants for transfer to higher levels of care if needed. Flexibility to float between nearby sister facilities may be required.
