We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in California. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, highly skilled RN who is comfortable caring for critically ill newborns in a fast-paced Level III/IV NICU environment.
Requirements
Active, unrestricted RN license
NICU experience required
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
BLS certification required
NRP certification required
Ability to care for premature and critically ill newborns
Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
Current clinical documentation and immunizations as required by the facility
Responsibilities
Provide specialized nursing care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns
Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, labs, and clinical changes
Administer medications and treatments safely
Manage ventilators, CPAP, IVs, central lines, and other NICU equipment as appropriate
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team
Educate and support parents and families
Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow facility policies and protocols
