Job Summary:
The NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located in the Minneapolis area. This role involves providing specialized, family-centered nursing care to critically ill newborns and infants across multiple healthcare facilities. The position offers a dynamic work environment with rotating shifts, emphasizing teamwork and advanced neonatal care expertise.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, totaling 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing, Minnesota RN license or Minnesota Temporary Permit-RN, BLS certification, NRP certification, and 2 years NICU nursing experience including the ability to care for infants requiring assisted ventilation (high frequency ventilator, conventional vents, non-invasive methods like bubble CPAP, RAM cannula, HFNC), pre and post-operative care of critically ill newborns (including those with trachs), pre-term infants including ELBW (extremely low birth weight) population, strong knowledge of developmental care is expected.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neonatal intensive care units, proficiency with high-frequency ventilation equipment, and neonatal developmental care expertise.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The RN must be willing to float between all three hospitals as needed. The assignment duration is 8 weeks, with a start date of 08/10/2026.
