Travel Nurse RN - Nurse Manager - $2,900 to $3,000 per week in Bakersfield, CA

Shift: Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Duration: 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced RN Shift Manager (Telemetry) to lead a dynamic unit in a fast-paced hospital environment. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for strong clinicians with recent charge experience.

• BLS (AHA) – Required
• ACLS (AHA) – Required
• NIHSS (AHA or APEX) – Required
• Recent Charge RN experience (last assignment) – Required
• No first-time travelers

• Position Type: Nurse Shift Manager (Leadership Role)
• Responsible for unit operations during assigned shift
• Act as a clinical and administrative leader
• Support staff, patient care coordination, and workflow management

• Oversee daily operations of Telemetry unit
• Supervise and support nursing staff during shift
• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety standards
• Assist with staff assignments, escalations, and critical situations
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and protocols

• 3 Weeks Total Orientation
  • Week 1: Classroom training
  • Weeks 2–3: Unit-based orientation

• Night shifts with EOW requirement
• First to float based on unit needs
• Manager interviews required prior to offer

• Overtime (OT) paid after 8 hours/day
• OT billed after 40 hours/week
• Blended structure:
  • 24 regular hours + 12 OT hours per week
