Job Title: Nursing Manager/Director Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Manager/Director Duration: Full Time Shift: Days, Mon-Fri Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 5 years in health care administration or performance improvement management License: RN License or comparable clinical degree Certifications: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required within 18 months of hire Must-Have: Master’s degree in health-related or business field preferred Description: Responsible for the leadership, strategic direction, and management of day-to-day activities of the Quality Management Accreditation/Quality and Risk Management program. Oversee accreditation, infection prevention and control, employee health screening, patient safety, risk management, compliance, and credentialing. Coordinate regulatory and accreditation compliance surveys and all quality-related activities. Develop and maintain the structure of the Quality Management Accreditation division. Foster cross-disciplinary, cross-department, and cross-jurisdictional relationships. Manage the Quality Management Accreditation/Quality Management program. Lead and integrate quality improvement beyond the clinical setting to all divisions. Formulate, analyze, and implement Quality Management Accreditation policies, programs, and procedures. Ensure compliance with accrediting body standards regarding accreditation. Provide guidance regarding credentialing issues and serve as a subject matter expert for interpretation and application of accreditation standards. Approve and ensure compliance by applying consistent quality improvement processes. Understand and utilize rapid Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles as part of performance/quality improvement initiatives. Implement quality management concepts and measures to promote performance improvement. Develop quality measurement reports in collaboration with Electronic Health Record staff. Provide technical and administrative support in resolving complaints and administrative problems. Investigate complaints and concerns, collect pertinent information, and report findings to executive leadership. Other duties as assigned. This position includes supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications include knowledge of quality and performance improvement strategies, accrediting agency requirements, infection prevention, safety practices, risk management, and total quality management principles. Skills in program planning, implementation, and evaluation are required. Candidates should possess critical thinking abilities, the capacity to lead and motivate a high-performing team, and effective communication skills. Ability to analyze and understand the financial and ethical implications of health program decisions is essential. Travel is expected, by jet, small aircraft, and ferry.
