Description:
This role involves working in a Special Care Nursery with a focus on neonatal care.
Experience in a Level II Nursery is essential.
Previous delivery room experience is required.
Charge nurse experience and preceptor experience are mandatory.
The nurse will assist with circumcision care, infant identification, and discharge teaching to parents.
Skills in assessing and managing newborn hypoglycemia and administering IV antibiotics are required.
The nurse will handle cord care, metabolic screening, and phototherapy.
Thermoregulation and vaccination administration are also part of the role.
Every other weekend coverage is necessary for this position.
