Travel Nurse RN - Nursery - $1,979 per week in Brooklyn, MD

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum required in a Special Care Nursery setting License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: Previous charge experience required Delivery room experience required Preceptor experience required Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a Special Care Nursery environment. The position requires the ability to assist with the care of neonates. The nurse will be responsible for conducting newborn assessments. Skills required include starting and maintaining IVs. The nurse will administer vaccines and manage phototherapy. Strong communication skills are necessary for parent education. Charge nurse and preceptor experience are essential for this role. Candidates should expect to float to postpartum for baby care assignments. The nurse will also address infant identification and isolation precautions. Every other weekend shift duty is required. This position offers an opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary team. Candidates must have experience managing low birth weight infants. The nurse will provide discharge teaching to new parents. All candidates must adhere to the facility’s health and safety protocols.
