The position requires the ability to perform vital signs assessments and handle patient teaching. Other skills required include blood glucose monitoring and emergency response measures. Knowledge of insurance verification and medication reconciliation is necessary. The nurse should be able to obtain 12 lead EKGs and perform nebulizer treatments.
