Registered Nurse (RN) - OB/GYN

The Registered Nurse (RN) in OB/GYN plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care within the designated health system. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care with a focus on age-specific criteria, alongside guiding non-RN staff such as LPNs/PCTs and Unit Secretaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during shifts.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to inform care planning and implementation.
• Demonstrate clinical skills and scientific knowledge in all patient interactions.
• Plan and direct care to support nursing staff and other team members.
• Adapt to changes in work schedules as necessary.

Schedule and Requirements

This position includes varied 12-hour shifts, requiring flexibility in work hours. There is an expectation to work every third weekend. No on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of OB experience (required).
• Completion of at least one travel assignment (required).
• Ability to function as a first assist and scrub OB (highly preferred).

Licenses and Certifications

• Active Ohio or Compact RN License (required).
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification (required).
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (required).
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required).
• Active S.T.A.B.L.E. certification (required).
• Active Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification (required).
