OB Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OB Registered Nurse (RN) to provide holistic, individualized care to patients in the OB unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, and effective teaching skills while showing a commitment to improving the quality of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Perform general and unit-specific clinical skills independently, under the supervision of the charge nurse.
• Manage the care of patients across various stages: antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecological patients.
• Maintain and manage supplies and equipment within the department.
• Promote teamwork and collaboration with physicians, nursing personnel, and other hospital departments.
• Adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA compliance.
• Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Successful completion of general nursing and unit orientation programs.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and STABLE.
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate.
