Job Title: Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift: 36
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care in a level 1 trauma setting.
License: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN License.
Certifications:
- Current Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required upon hire.
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required upon hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program required upon hire.
Must-Have:
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Description:
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
Note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
Assist physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients.
Observe the physiological manifestations of patients and intervene when necessary.
Administer medication as prescribed.
Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
Deliver patient care competently.
Interact with family and patients in sharing the care plan while in the hospital and at the time of discharge.
Inform patients and families of hospital procedures.
Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Delegate tasks to support staff.
