- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Client Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
Must-Have: EPIC experience required
Description:
The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
The nurse supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
Collaboration with other disciplines is crucial while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment.
Responsibilities include collecting relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
Assessment data is analyzed to determine diagnoses and care issues.
A plan that prescribes interventions is developed to attain desired outcomes.
The plan is implemented, care delivery is coordinated, and strategies to promote health and a safe environment are employed.
Progress toward attaining outcomes is evaluated regularly.
Outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation are identified clearly.
Collaboration with the team, including the patient, family, and healthcare providers, is essential in providing care.
Learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members are provided regularly.
Direct health information is communicated to patients, families, and treatment teams.
Participation in discharge planning ensures continuity of care.
Appropriate delegation and coordination of duties among the healthcare team members are part of the role.
Other job-related duties may be assigned as needed.

The unit provides antepartum/antenatal and postpartum/postnatal care for maternity patients and normal newborns.
Gynecology patients are not included in this unit.
