Certifications: Required certifications include:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Resuscitation Certification (ARC-ALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS)
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE)
Must-Have: EPIC experience required; floating to other facilities may be needed as required
Description:
Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion.
Employs independent judgment to make decisions regarding patient care.
Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes.
Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery, employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes and identifies desired outcomes for patients.
Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure patient care is delivered in a safe and caring environment.
Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams.
Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
