Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients within a 2-suite OB department that performs approximately 80 deliveries per year, utilizing a couplet/mother-baby care model
• Attend C-sections as needed, serving as the circulating RN responsible for the mother; additional surgical support includes a Provider, CRNA, Surgical Tech, and OR RN
• Utilize facility systems including Philips ultrasound equipment and OB Trace View for clinical documentation; support infant security protocols using Hugs Infant Tags
• Float to the Medical-Surgical (Patient Care Unit) when census in the OB department is low
• Participate in orientation, which includes three days of classroom instruction and one preceptored shift, held on a scheduled basis

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure applicable to the state of Nebraska
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Reliable personal transportation is required; rideshare services are not available in this area

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating to Medical-Surgical or general inpatient units
• Familiarity with OB Trace View documentation systems or similar OB-specific EMR platforms
• Comfort working independently in a low-volume OB setting with the ability to adapt to varying census demands
