Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within an Obstetrics unit on a routine scheduled night shift basis
- Perform delivery room duties, including receiving and caring for newborns
- Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
- Float to MedSurg when OB census is low and provide care to medical-surgical patients as needed
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas state license or multistate RN license required at time of submission
- Fetal monitoring certification required at time of submission
- AHA NRP certification required at time of submission
- AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
- AHA ACLS certification required at time of submission
- Demonstrated delivery room experience, including receiving newborns
- Previous MedSurg nursing experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Ability to adapt to varied patient populations, including cross-departmental float assignments
