Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the shift.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition appropriately to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
Circulate during C-Sections, attend deliveries assisting the physician as needed, and follow appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients.
Attend the neonatal station in the C-Section suite and completely assess the neonate post-delivery.
Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances; serve as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Required Qualifications
Active Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license required.
Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and/or L&D/LDRP settings.
Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications required (must be issued through the American Heart Association where applicable).
Experience may include care of OB/GYN patients (e.g., post-op hysterectomy), antepartum care, triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
Ability to identify and communicate necessary clinical information to physicians and patients effectively.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience in a women's services or OB/GYN setting.
Previous experience working in a community hospital environment, either in a permanent or contract capacity.
Attendance of fetal monitoring certification and STABLE certification courses.
