Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) settings
- Perform triage assessments and support labor and delivery processes including circulating and C-section assistance
- Deliver newborn care and postpartum couplet care to mothers and infants
- Collaborate with the obstetric care team to support safe and compassionate maternal and neonatal outcomes
- Monitor and respond to patient conditions, including dysrhythmia recognition on the floor
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN nursing experience
- High proficiency in LDRP, including Labor, Triage, Delivery, Circulating, C-Sections, Newborn Care, and Postpartum Couplet Care
- Active Michigan RN License (verified Active status required)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Active AWHONN certification
- Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor
- COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions considered)
- Must have personal vehicle available for this assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- STABLE Program certification
- Experience in a high-volume birth center or family birth place setting
