Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Rotating weekends; no on-call required
Highlights:
21-bed Oncology unit with current census of 8-12 patients, providing an excellent nurse-to-patient ratio
Patient ratios: 1:3 or 1:4, with flex to 1:5 as needed
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech
Collaborative team environment with dedicated charge nurses, RNs, and patient care technicians on each shift
Equipment includes Baxter infusion pumps
Opportunity to cross-train and float to Hematology-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant units
Requirements:
Active RN license
Current BLS certification
Oncology nursing experience required
Hematology-Oncology background preferred
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Experience with procedures such as blood and electrolyte replacement
Knowledge of neutropenic precautions, strict intake and output monitoring, CHG baths, dressing changes, and line management protocols
