Schedule: Day or Night Shift available; 1:5 or 1:6 patient ratio; Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per monthHighlights:- 30-bed Surgical Oncology unit with mixed patient population (50% surgical oncology, 50% medical-surgical)- Collaborative team environment with experienced nursing staff and patient care technicians- Modern equipment including Baxter pumps, SCD machines, Mobilab, and glucometers- EMR system: Meditech- Opportunity to work with oncology patients and provide specialized care- Float opportunities to Medical Oncology and Medical-Surgical unitsRequirements:- Active Texas RN license or ability to obtain- BLS certification required- Strong communication skills and compassionate patient care approach- IV insertion experience preferred- Chemotherapy certification or experience highly preferred- Experience with medication administration, chest tube management, NGT management, and Foley management- Team-oriented professional who can adhere to attendance policies- Royal blue scrubs requiredWhy It's a Great Opportunity:Join a dynamic 48-member nursing team dedicated to providing exceptional care to surgical oncology and medical-surgical patients.
