Job Summary Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse (MS ONC) located at a short-term acute care facility, this role involves providing specialized care to adults undergoing treatment for various blood cancers, such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. The position requires administering chemotherapy, managing central lines, and monitoring patients receiving complex therapies, with floating within the oncology service line as needed.
Job Details
Required Qualifications: Oncology experience required, certification in Oncology Nursing Certification (ONCC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Chemo certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Will need to pass Relias EKG exam; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required; float rotation within the oncology department is required; the role involves auto stem cell transplants, chemotherapy administration, and managing ports and central lines. The facility is a Magnet and Teaching Hospital with a Level I Trauma designation.
Certifications required upon submission include ACLS, BLS, Chemo (ONCC), ONCC.
Candidate must have MO or IL license in hand at time of submittal.
No local candidates within 75 miles; floating within the service line is required; contract length is firm and no RTO beyond 7 days accepted without approval.
