Job Summary: Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse in Wichita, Kansas. This position involves delivering specialized nursing care to adult oncology patients within a 40-bed inpatient unit supporting patients from diagnosis through ongoing treatment. The role requires a dedicated professional skilled in oncology patient management and compassionate care delivery.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent, at least 1 year of experience working in medical-surgical oncology care, location in the state of Kansas or ability to obtain licensure there
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in inpatient oncology units, certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) or related specialization, familiarity with SOPs and protocols specific to oncology care
Float: Float rotation may be required
Additional Information: The oncology unit supports patients throughout their continuum of care, from diagnosis to treatment. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
